Day sheet

Also called Day of show sheet, DOS sheet

A day sheet lists one show day in time order, every time local to its place: travel, pickups, hotel, venue, set and the people to call.

The advance sheet records what was agreed. The day sheet is what the artist checks in the taxi or at the gate, to see what comes next, where, and whom to call if it doesn’t happen.

Example

An excerpt for [Artist A], playing London on a Saturday in October:

Time What
Sat 13:10 CEST Flight VIE → LHR, lands 14:35
Sat 15:20 Pickup at arrivals, driver’s name and mobile
Sat 16:40 Hotel check-in, late checkout 13:00 agreed
Sun 00:15 Pickup hotel → venue
Sun 01:00–03:00 Set, main floor

The header says once that times are in local time at the venue (London, UTC+1). The departure in Vienna carries its own zone. The set after midnight is listed on Sunday, the day it happens.

What to watch for

  • One page, one day. A trip of several days gets one day sheet per day; the itinerary holds the whole trip.
  • Every time is the local time of its place, never converted into the reader’s time.
  • The day sheet comes from the confirmed advance. If a pickup moves on the day, the sheet changes for everyone, not only in one chat.
  • Leave money off it. The day sheet gets forwarded to drivers and the hotel, and they have no reason to see the fee.
  • Drivers can get a version with only their rides. The artist and whoever travels with them get the whole day.
